Zac Turner

Hope Island Senior Physiotherapist

Zac is an accomplished Physiotherapist with a strong background in sports medicine, injury rehabilitation, and athletic performance. Since graduating from Bond University with a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2017, following undergraduate studies in Physical Education, Zac has gained extensive experience in private practice and elite sport. He has worked with professional and high performance athletes across a variety of disciplines, including the Gold Coast Suns, professional skateboarding, swimming, distance running, and triathlon.

Zac is currently finalising his APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Titling and demonstrates a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and complex musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He is passionate about guiding athletes from injury through to peak performance, drawing on evidence based practice and tailored exercise prescription.

An enthusiastic endurance athlete himself, Zac competes in long distance running and Ironman triathlon, including qualifying for and racing in the 2022 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. He has a deep appreciation for the demands of training and competition, which informs his holistic approach to injury management and performance optimisation.

Outside of the clinic, Zac enjoys swimming, cycling, and running, and spends his downtime with his wife and two children exploring the Gold Coast’s beaches and creeks.
